I’ve been here for a week and I think I’ve had enough FRITES!
The photo is an average Belgian meal. You order any entree and it will probably come with frites.

Yesterday My family and I barely did anything. It was a lazy day and I’m okay with that every now and then.

Today I got to go play football (soccer) with my host brother and his friends. I am fitting into the group great and they love me. Even though half the time I don’t know what they’re saying and the other half they don’t know what I’m saying! šŸ˜› But we figure it out so its all good. It was a very nice day today, actually sunny! Usually it just rains in Belgium, like every day. Could be all day or just for 15 minutes. I never know. Anyways, after football we got a ride to some other town, I forget the name because there are hundreds of littles towns everywhere! Walked around a shopping centre to kill some time before going to watch a movie. We stopped at a fast food place called Quick. Literally exactly the same as McDonalds but they have beer and wings! I asked for a beer but they said it didn’t work with my combo… Well that sucks šŸ˜› So i just got an iced tea. In Belgium, possibly all of Europe the ice tea is sparkling! dislike that. Once I got over not having my McDonald style beer and sparkling Iced tea my friends and I went to the movies. We went to see “We Are Your Friends”. It was in french, but it was very good so suggest seeing it! Probably better in english šŸ˜‰

Once the movie was finished Axel (Brother) and I went to find his parents at a restaurant. We eventually found them and we had a full proper meal. I ordered something off the menu (it was all french). I ended up getting breaded chicken with mushroom sauce (I don’t like mushrooms but it didn’t taste like mushrooms!), caesar salad, a glass of red wine and frites. I’m kind of sick of frites. Like they’re not bad here and there but especially mixed with red wine… No it doesn’t work. Or thats what my stomach thinks anyways!

Well I have a meeting tomorrow with the rotary club. It’s an information session. Probably will be very very boring! But I’ll get to visit other exchange students!

Bye for now! šŸ™‚
